Much needed update

Whoa! I have been so lazy with my blog writing - I now have so much to catch up on that I can't even remember what I wanted to write!

First things first. I am now 33 (almost) weeks pregnant, which means baby could be arriving anytime from 5-9 weeks from now. (please be early baby, you're getting quite heavy!)

Been to the see midwifey a couple of times. At first they told me I was measuring 1 and a half weeks big, which freaked me out (I didn't order a big baby), but she said I shouldn't worry and now apparently baby is growing nice and steadily. All good news there.

I think I can now class myself as "heavily pregnant". My bump is of a good size, although a lot of my clothes seem to hide it well. I have some killer stretchmarks - they look awful but I'm not going to let them get me down. I wanted a baby - i have to take the bad with the good. I need to use the toilet at least once an hour, which is strange for me. I used to be a twice a day girl! Also, my boobs leak pretty much all the time! And my feet and hands keep swelling up. I've had to take my wedding rings off and I try to put the feet up as much as possible. So, all in all it's a glamorous life!

Over Easter, my wonderful hubby and I cracked on with the nursery. It looks fantastic! We have some lovely furniture, books and clothes and there are only a couple of tiny things I need to get before she arrives. A highlight for me was picking the pram (or travel system, as I should call it). It's a Silvercross and is like a Transformer! It's amazing and so simple to use, I want to push it around everywhere I go, baby or no baby!

Chris and I attended our first antenatal class last week. I think it was a bit long, at just under 3 hours, and could have been done a lot faster, but it was nice to hear first hand about what to expect. I'm feeling very positive about the whole birth thing. I'm trying to view it as you might view swimming the channel. It's not going to be easy, but it'll be worth it.

I also went to an Infant feeding class where I got to play with knitted boobs and dolls. In work time. I love this whole pregnancy lark!

Well, I think I'm caught up (I'm bound to have forgotten something). I'll try to be more organised in the future.
